What we believe
Most organizations we meet are not poorly run. They are running hard. The people inside them care. The owners are working long hours. And yet something, capacity, quality, cost, throughput, turnover, is not where it should be.
Almost always, the cause is not effort. It is design. Process designed for an earlier scale. Workflows that grew rather than were built. Layouts inherited from previous tenants. Schedules that sort-of work because someone has been holding them together by hand.
Operations engineering is the discipline of seeing those designs clearly and making them better. It is unglamorous, quantitative work. We like it.
How we engage
The principal does the work. You speak with the person who is on your floor, in your data, in your meetings.
Most engagements begin with a two to three week scoped discovery, fixed fee, with a defined deliverable.
Reports are written in the language of the people who have to act on them. Methodology lives in appendices, not headlines.
We charge for projects, not consultant-days. Our incentive is to get the work done well and move on.
